Coming on Saturday. Me and a mate are driving down to Potters Bar and then riding in through London. Anyone got any tips for surviving those Big City streets? Will us rural Cambridge boys survive?

Surely there is something wrong with your FCN numbers!

A semi-aero Madone is FCN 5 while your commuting spec Tricross is FCN 4?!

Even if there is lots for sale, it'll all be at premium prices anyway - they're not going to go to the effort of moving merchandise only to discount it! Seriously, go for the bikes, and if you pick up a little something then it's a bonus.

I wish I'd read this before I went. I turned up armed with credit card to kit myself out in winter commuting gear and came home with just a few "bike porn" magazines. Got myself on Chain Reaction yesterday and ordered it all from the comfort of my home.

You could well be right. I will check that out, and adjust if I am wrong.

    Back on topic.......

Had a good time at the show, lot of nice hardware to look at as well as the GB Girls!! Would definitely love an Enigma Ti bike when funds allow (Might be a long wait!).

Enjoyed my first experience of riding through London, hillier than I thought, especially over Hampstead Heath, but a nice ride none the less.

  • Hi all

Just a comment on my visit to the cycle show on Friday. I thought the show was well organised and to have seen Alberto Contador close up was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Also, I'm pleased about his autograph on the back of my white iphone and my son's happy with his signed Contador's poster.

He gave a 20mins interview on stage and he spoke in English. There were loads of people gathered infront of the stage and all the seats were taken on the stands. I thought he would have expressed himself better if he'd spoken in Spanish. Top effort to speak English to a British crowd.

    Top bloke.
