I need to replace my current gloves(661 sx1) as they have split after 10 months of use. Looking for a glove that is hard wearing and comfortable, any suggestions please.

Specialized BG Ridge long finger gloves are very good, comfy & long lasting & pretty cheap.

2 pairs have lasted me 3 years & still going strong.

  • 661 Comp Full fingered gloves. Never had a problem in the hot or cold and a pair has lasted me over 2 years. Having said that they are starting to look a little roughy around the edges!
  • 661 descends here, have had a pair 2 years and when washed look like new again pretty much, CRC have the 2008 ones for about a £10 IIRC.

Whatever Fox gloves you like the look of... Inclines for XC, sidewinders for a bit more protection if you want it. They do heavier gloves as well for the more crash-inclined. They feel better than most of the competition from day one, and they last brilliantly.

My BGs have been finally binned after 2.5 yrs, done me well and be used 4-6 days a week - very good gloves and only really suffer in teh depths of winter.

Have just replaced them with some Royal Pro gloves on offer at Chain Reaction (£22), only worn them twice but fantastici for the price.
