Looking at an MRP XCG triple as I want to keep all three rings. Anyone fitted one to a Zesty? I assume that the ISCG mounts make it a doddle???

Or any other suggestions?

I bought one and it doesn't fit my 314. First issue is the BB shell is wider than standard and the ISCG tabs at set back from the face of the BB shell, result is the whole in the middle of the MRP XCG isn't big enough to go over the shell. I spent ages filing mine out so it would slide over but then the ISCG holes don't align (however you try and orientate the guide). I'm sure I measured them before and had them down as ISCG05's but keep meaning to double check and haven't got around to it yet.
  • I got a reaponse from MRP. The XCG is ISCG whereas the Zesty has ISCG-05 mounts. They will only make an ISCG-05 model if there is suitable demand.

Anyone got any suggestions for an ISCG-05 bash guard that will allow me to run three rings?

Could you fit the non-ISCG, bottom bracket mounted MRP guard? It doesn't fit on everything but it might do (doesn't fit my Idrive frinstance, but does fit my Soul). You need an external BB with at least one spacer.

Don't think the BB mount version will work as the Zesty has a 92mm BB shell :( Cheers for confirming the MRP is old ISCG though, saves me remeasuring and head-scratching ;)
  • Just for info really - I contacted MRP to see if they were planning an ISCG 05 version and received the following reply:

"We are watching the demand, and when it's high enough we'll produce the ISCG-05 version"

Nothing looks likely for a bit then!

I can't see how they can gauge demand without having a product to sell, I bought the current one which doesn't fit so it's gathering dust in a box in my garage, all MRP would see is a sale of the old style one :p
