Hi guys,

I want to buy a hardtail, to replace my full sus bike.
I'm interested in a Kona Kula Deluxe (2008) at £1049.95.
Whats the forum view on this?... It seems to be pretty much the same spec as the 2009!
Any ideas of it's weight?

Oh, usage... Mainly singletrack, as I live in Norfolk, nr Thetford (ish!)

Cheers.

Yep, it's at Pauls Cycles and I will try it before I buy.
I thought it had good spec, just a little out of touch, regarding the quality of the forks...
No real need for a full susser anymore, prefer the lighter weight of a HT.

  • I would go for it. It is a very good bike & light too which is a good bonus. It isn't good for downhill or extreme riding but for XC it is great!
Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.
  • saracen fan you must be doing something wrong if you keep breaking you bike on the black route it is flat as you like any way i am also a thetfordian

How is Theford 'Black' holding up now?
I had read reports that it was getting really bad and haven't had the time to get there for ages. Was hoping to go mddle of this month, if it's in reasonable shape.

    Was down there last week.

Not too bad at the moment, weathers been dry so it's no worse than usual.
  • very sandy in some places as well i come off once just after the beast where there is a sharp right hand bend and it is normally very sandy
