Joining a 10-speed chain

Hi

I am upgrading to Ultegra SL 10-speed this winter from Ultegra 9-speed. With 9-speed I have used an SRAM chain joining link and think it's brilliant - can I use the SRAM 10-speed Powerlock 10-speed chain connector with the Shimano 10-speed chain?

    You can but it is one use only. A KMC Missing Link is better as you can undo it and re-use.

    Use a KMC link as they are reusable. The Powerlocks are o only. First thing I did on my new bike was to take off the SRAM powerlock and replace with a missing link. Then you can get the chain off to clean it.
