Setting up rockshox revelations?

I have just fitted my new RockShox revelation 2010 team airturn front shocks. Set the rebound and compression air as rockshox advise and went out on a ride. Now i had a play around with some of the settings but i cannot achieve much more than what would seem to be 1/3 of the available travel. Can anyone advise me on what settings i should be looking to change as i have no idea and there is not much info on the net about setting them up.

Rebound damping (adjuster on bottom of right fork leg) controls the speed that the fork extends. Have a play with it and use what feels best.
Compression damping (on top of the right fork leg) controls the forks movement as it compresses, from fully complaint, right through to a full lockout. Setting inbetween can be helpful in reducing the fork diving under braking, and bobbing when pedalling.
Lastly we have a floodgate adjuster. This simply controls the force required for the fork to 'blow off' when it is locked out. it then returns to locked after a big enough hit.0 -
Thanks, i had just found it, i will prove very helpful. Can i ask where i shoud find out what level of sag i should be running? I cannot find any info in the rockshox booklet that comes with the forks on this?0

It is personal preference really - most find about 25% works well for a fork like this. If after a ride you feel you are not getting all out of the fork, try 30%. Or maybe it is the other way round - try less sag ie 20%0

Can i ask how sag should be measured? Should it be with me in the saddle as if it is then i cannot seem to get much sag at all.0

It should be with you stood on the bike in your 'attack' position.
Sometimes new forks have a bit of stiction. Compress a few times, reset the zip tie, then try.0 -
