Will a tripple fit an Enduro 2005?

I've bought the front mech, but the seat tube is so short that even when it's clamped at it's furthest point from the chainring, it won't even cover it.
Do I need a different type of front mech or is the frame not compatible?
The mech is a Deore LX dual pull.

which one did you get?
you need a bottom pull and yes you can run 3 rings."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks for that.
I assumed the dua lpull would be ok because it will pull from the bottom, does a bottom pull sit the mech further from the chainring then ? (if that makes sense)
The frame is an s-works Enduro, mech is dual pull lx deore.

Opps missed the other bit.
Top swing.
IE lower band position.
Like the FD M-570 as fitted originally."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

i'm sorry to be stupid, but I just don't understand
The mech I have is an M531, if I can find one with the model number you've listed, that one will be Ok?
Cheers

Yep you need a top swing, though it will probably still fit if its similar to my 02 frame.
this may be a dumb thing to say, but make sure you route the cable for the rear over the bb not under it otherwise it changes gear when you bounce.0 -
Not a dumb thing at all, I really don't have a lue
Thanks for the tip 8)
