Hi there, 1st post
My ancient 1999 Trek Y3 suspension bike has started to wobble at the pivotbolt/washers section.
I have tried all my local bike shops, and emailed Trek US to ask if the part is still in stock all without luck.
Anyone have any Idea where I can get the pivotbolt?
4 years ago the same thing happened and actually snapped and I was able to replace it.

If the bushings are worn (I assume it runs a plastic bush) then a new bolt won't do anything.0

Sorry im not that clued up, I was thinking that it would just be the bolt/washers?
It snapped 4 years ago and they simply replaced it.0 -
The two pieces of metal of the frame halves must run on some sort of bearing. Usually slopiness is when this bit wears out.
Take out the bolt, seperate the two halves and have a look.0 -
and then go to an engineers work shop and get them to price up some new bits."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
