i've been offered a kona coiler frame, marzocchi drop off forks, bars, stem and headset for £200 so i'd have to transfer the rest of the bits from my current bike onto the new frame i think its an 07 frame, i just want to know what the coiler is like before i part with my cash ie how well will it cope with drops and down hill?

btw its from my lbs not some dodgy mate of a mate

cheers

it is not a DH bike or a FR bike.

It is an AM bike. a bit of a mild play bike.

a riding buddy of mine has Kona Coiler - he loves it. it's pretty heavy, but after 5 years hard use (he weighs about 17 stone) it's still spot on.

as already stated, it's not a downhill bike - just a long travel trail bike - but it's plenty man enough to handle a few drops
