Disc brakes pull wheel to left

I just bought a Specialized Rockhopper Expert. It's the first bike I've owned in a while and the first I've had with disc brakes. The bike is great but I have one question. I had the bike delivered and it came with the front wheel off. I've fitted it but when I apply the front brake, the wheel pulls to the left noticeably. It doesn't seem to pull the bike off course, but it's disconcerting to say the least. Any suggestions on what might be causing this? Is it just that the quick release skewer isn't tight enough?

QR would certainly be first port of call. After that the hub. After that I'm really not sure, the forces being applied shouldn't have any effect above the forks really.0

as in the wheel moves in the forks?
any play in the hub (hold forks and try to move wheel laterally)
is the rotor centered in the caliper0 -
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not sure if the whole wheel is moving in the forks. I'll check it out when I get time later.0

As said make sure:
the quick release mechanism is tight and you have it even in the forks.
that the front suspension is not set with different rebound settings L&R
that you have bedded your brake pads in.
Check that the headset is tight (forks don't move independently from the bars.
Tyre pressure is right.
I dunno if that model has an air shock, but I've heard that they don't give you a shock pump which you'll need to set it up. If it has an air shock, check that the PSI is right for your weight.
but to be honest there are plenty of motorbikes which are about 20 x heavier 5 times faster with discs only on one side. You'll only notice a pull on them after about 50K of wear. and may be 0.5mm of tyre wear after 15K0 -
OK, well I took the front wheel off, checked the skewer, put it back on and tightened it. I haven't been for a ride yet but the wheel seems a lot more secure in the forks so I think it's fixed. Thanks for the advice guys.0
