Ok, so it's a shameless plug but why not come down to the seaside (Seaton, Devon) and watch the Tour of Britain with us
Amazingly, all the town's community groups have come together and organised a party to celebrate, how cool is that. Cycling truly has been embraced by the mainstream, at least here in Seaton.

You can even join us for a ride if you like http://www.axevalleypedallers.org.uk/th ... -the-clock
Everyone is welcome to come along and join in.
See you there

If the welcome by the pedallers is as good as the welcome by the runners for the Grizzly then get yourselves down there.
Bit of a trek for me unfortunately.0 -
We'll do our best.
Incidentally those Runners and nearly as daft as us the Pedallers, must be something in the cider down here0 -
or the latest TT machine dripping with carbon you are welcome and most importantly you will never be left behind.

All our rides end at the pub so we're well motivated, speedy bunch on our shoppers, wouldn't want the tt boys to feel they'd get left behind and miss out on a pint0

Is that on the 18th Sept?
Might be an ideal excuse for a wee break!Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
Sure is, the race comes through Seaton on Friday the 18th Sept and our ride and festival run over the 18th and 19th.
You'd be more than welcome to join us0 -
Cheers, I'll look into that.Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0

I watched the Tour go through Musbury (between Seaton and Axminster), where the two breakaway riders still had a lead of over 4 minutes. There was a good turnout and everyone was really enthusiastic.
After the race had gone through, I followed the route up to Chard, partly with a view to picking up water bottles. I did pretty well with this and now have a good stock. One of the bottles I picked up was a Rabobank one marked DL. There doesn't seem to be anyone on the team with these initials, so does anyone know what this stands for?
