Good morning.
What goes into a 'Fork Service' and, if you're like me (totally non-mechanically minded) is it better to take to the LBS?
Please advise.

This is an earnest question, thank you

it depends on the fork.
Most of the fork makers have downloadable service info on their sites that you can read.
but to sum up.
1 it depends on the fork.
2 it depends on what needs doing.
3 it depends on what you ask to be done."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I don't know the model number :oops:0 -
It should say on it somewhere.

it will say as all Marz forks are Bombers.
but for a Marz. fork i would say an oil change and seal lube. is about it.
if a really cheap version a wipe down and grease would be about it."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

BUT if the forks are old and the bushes are worn.... and the seals gone....
If the forks are being seny away for a full service then bushes/seal/oil/O rings..."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
