Its meant to be a brilliant bike, everyone who has one seems to love it. I've never ridden it myself though.

The 2010 Pitch Pro is £1599.99 at Evans, unless you have got some sort of offer price or deal.

    It isn't in stock yet.

You need to test one to find out if it is the bike for you & the trails you ride.

It's a great bike, bit more expensive than last year but a few improvements.

Pretty burly/slack for general XC duties though, only buy if you have pretensions of being a downhiller. :)

i disagree - i ride mine everywhere. the only thing i would say is it's quite long, so it can take a bit of work to swing it around tight switchbacks.

the new Pro has an air-sprung fork instead of last year's coil fork, and they also have a double-and-bash setup. quite a bit more expensive thab last year, but a great bike.

Don't get me wrong, I love mine and I use it for long XC rides as well as DH type stuff - it's just very much a 'get to the top of the hill not particularly quickly, then rag it down as fast as possible' bike imo. For some people a more xc type bike might be better suited.

The slackness is great for inspiring confidence going downhill, but not as good for tight twisty singletrack.
  • thanks for the imput, going to be using bike for mostly single tracks and trails like the 7stanes
