brakes aint got bite

hi guys,

the problem is that ive adjusted my 09 xt hydrolic brakes so the levers are closer to the bar.

problem is they dont bite aswell now because there isnt enough leverage for the brakes to bite fully.

can i just top up the oil by removing the lids on the levers so they get full bite before they hit the grips??

    if all you have done is adjust the reach and you now cant get the brakes to work then adjust them back out and you will beable to pull them far enough to get them to stop you.

    But if you have been playing with anything other than the reach adjust screw?....

    no i adjusted the reach but i like them where they are.

    i know i can put them back but whats the point of the reach adjust if you have to put it back when it doesnt work.

    can i add more oil so they bite while they are adjusted?
