clipless pedals?

ill make this short and painless,

What the f*** are clipless pedals?

    they are clipless pedals.

    they are pedals that use a cleat on the shoe and a lock system on the pedal.

    Does no one else find it ironic that u actually have to 'clip in' to clipless pedals LOL :D

    clipless = SPD/Time/CB/Look etc etc

    it's an archaic term .... "without toeclips"

    .... for those of us old enough to remember the horrors of riding a mountainbike with toeclips....

    I think toeclips is a bit of a stupid name as well, as you don't clip into toeclips. Should be toestraps, or something. Clipless is also a stupid name.

    Man...Toeclips are evil, I remember my mate getting the nastiest looking ingrown toe nail from having them too tight and rubbing....grim.

    I actually had less crashes with toe clips than i ever have with using spuds, theres always that one time when something happens completely unexpectedly and u just cant get out quick enough and over u go :oops: :D
