As far as my limited understanding goes, 'OE' things are essentially replicas of the 'real thing'. Am I right?
I have found this (otherwise fairly expensive) Raceface Deus stem on Evans for £40 - could someone please explain what it actually is?

Thanks :-)

Original Equipment. Products that go straight to the bike manufacturer to be specced - they are sold cheaper as will have no packaging etc. Sometimes the manufacturer may as for a different spec, and in some cases they use cheaper parts.0

Notes:
This item is identical to the standard product, but is OE sourced for improved pricing and will not come with retail packaging.

Oh and whilst I'm here - does anyone know what the difference between those two stems actually is? (there are two shown in stock).0

OE products can sometime mean they use cheaper materials or construction techniques for a prouduct for example OE Panaracer Fire XC tires use a cheaper rubber compound and have a smaller TPI than the retail versions.
They did the job ok but you could feel the difference in terms of grip when i put a proper set on my bike.
Im no expert but thats my experience, obviously OE stems and bars etc are different to tires but be aware though.0 -
different lengths, last two digits give length in mm, both 6 deg rise and oversized clamp.0
