Looking at going back to a hardtail frame and swapping everything over, however, unlike sheepsteeth its got to suit 140mm forks. Looked at the Ragley mmmbop [/urlhttp://www.rutlandcycling.com/14031/Ragley-Mmmbop-Frame---Quick-Lime.htmland the On-one 456 any opnions and other options, budget is about £250 but i would like to spend less than that. Oh and id rather go lighter than nuke proof. cheers, jack

can be had for 300 quid at wiggle
  • how about 24/7 deviant might be a bit nuke proof
I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

DMR Ex[alt]? dont know how much you could get one for and what type of sizes they come in.

The 456 is a very nice option.
  • if it doesn't have to be new, try and find a decent Cove Handjob, very capable frame and so nice to ride springy steel

The Pha5e is beautiful, I nearly got one myself... But, for me it'd be a 456, if only because they cost nothing new right now in some sizes (£125!) but they're still selling used for £100 so it's almost zero risk. It's not all that light mind but 456 + Pikes is a great combo, proper hardworking bike.

(the On One price slash is awesome, I'm going to try and get a Summer Season for my birthday and just chuck it in the attic :D )

I'd be tempted with an MMMbop or Blue Pig too mind but personally I'd like to wait a little while to get more user feedback and real-world day-to-day use...

  • i thought that about the ragleys, but the on-ones are so cheap not sure i can resist, what do you reckon to the 456 with a Fox 32 Float RL? 07 one
