Hi all,

Some of my buddys have got road bikes and pursuaded me to do a 43 mile ride. I only have a £90 crappy Hlafords MTB but i done a few 10/15 miles rides beforehand and made it. It was such a great feeling to get there and do it on such a poor bike.

Just got me a Viking Torino for a good £230. I know there is alot of bike snobbery in regards to road bikes, but this is my top limit of affordability and lets be honest. Its GOT to be better than what im used too

Cant wait to eat up the miles!!!

  • I bought my first bike last year, a Viking Milano, and was told it was a good entry level road bike. Thoroughly enjoyed it and got the bug, before splashing out on a £1300 bike (got it considerably less mind!) this year.

My honest opinion? Can't tell that much difference when I'm riding them! Definately got more to do with the fitness of the rider than the value of the bike!

    enjoy!
