    The animal was first brought to the world's attention in 1933. Since then there have been dozens of sightings, many of which have turned out to be hoaxes.

    If its the image on the left I dont see a sea monster - its just a wake on the waters surface or something isn't it and if its the one on the right its a boat.

    As for environmental disaster killing the beasty, at least it might float to the surface!
