shaved mine the other day. apart from the odd looks at the gym and itchyness it went ok. still feels weird looking down at them though, it's like someone swapped my legs for a small girls.

    why not?

'why not' indeed - but unless you are shaving them for the sheer fun of it, then I would assume there would be some practical, cycling-related reason.....

Don't worry. You haven't really offended him.

You need to have a thick skin son, to be on here.

I shaved my legs many moons ago during a racing season.

I have very hairy legs, with 3 hairs coming out of every pore.
When I 1st did them at the start of the season it took over 1 hour per leg! I kid you not!
This one time I didn't realise it was going to take sooo long and I started with a bath.
After 1 hour had past I had just about finished one leg and my missus shouted up, are you ready we have to go now..

Yes we were off to Manchester Velodrome! I had to ride round the track wearing a pair of thermal tights! The fun part was changing in the changing room, I had a very long wait until it was empty, then I never got changed as quick in my life, I jumped at the slightest noise thinking it was someone coming!

I used to shave all the way up to the top of my leg as I also did some running and swimming. As it took so long, in the end I just shaved half way up my thigh. My missus said it was very off putting and looked like I had a pair of Mohair shorts on.

I'm just glad I never had an accident requiring hospital treatment during that time!!

I cant think of one _practical_ reason but it looks better so I will continue to do it. :)

I thought about shaving my legs once, but soon realised that a smooth legs and bearded face combo would look strange to say the least (and no the beard isn't coming off!)

And of course otherwise you'll look like a 70s pornstar.

Men who shave their legs might be mistaken for South African 800m runner.
