Hills again, well gradient

Ok, anyone else in Derbyshire that has done Holly Lane that turns into Jackass lane. It goes from the A6 at Ambergate, just down from the Hurt Arms, to the top of the hill, obviously, no idea what the junction road name is. I've worked out on the os map it climbs 170 metres in 1.55 miles.
Anyone know what gradient it is as the start. It's bloody steep and hard on a 52/34 chainset with a 11/23 cassett. No stopping though.
Or anyone know a website of road gradients. I worked it out to be around 25% for the first 300 yards but that seems mad!!

I use www.bikehike.co.uk to see the elevation and gradients of journeys0

it looks like the hill gains most of the height early on and then slowly gains after that, ie most within the first half mile so the average grade will be misleading, if you measure from the bridge to the 180meter point you start to get more likely average of 12% bare in mind that even very steep hills tend to have not that impressive averages, and also all of these maps are far from perfect, so figures worked out from them may not be perfect.
any how looks a steep hill!0 -
It kicks like a bitch for the first 1/2 a mile then flattens for a 100 yards before a slight down hill (38ft) then back to another harsh climb. Bikehike has it as just over 186 metres. Having another go tomorrow. Must be mad *Insert something witty or profound here*0
