I attended the Buildingtrack day at Herne Hill this Wednesday. What a great afternoon and a fantastic experience on such a legendary track.

I took my helmet camera along for the ride which I mounted on the handlebars.

Hi there. It was great fun, moreso than I was expecting.

I remember going to Herne Hill about 20 years ago for the first time. This was the first time I returned and to be honest was pretty apprehensive about riding on the track having not ridden a fixie at speed since that last time.

Thankfully the instructors provided great advice and my worries about being flipped over the bars and sliding 50 feet across the concrete track were dispelled.

I'd recommend going to Herne hill to anyone. They've got a great team and a whole load of bikes that can be hired out for just a few quid.
