ultra-torque movement?

Hi guys,

My centaur ultra-torque started creaking and clanking after 2000 miles so I took it apart, re-greased the bearings and put it all back together, wiggly washing and retaining clip. When I was re-greasing, I think the bearings were a bit rusty. I cleaned out as much of the old red-stained grease as possible.

Anyway, 80 miles after this service, the creak is back. The only movement I can find is in the crank arms - I can push them towards and away from frame by a good few mm. I don't think this is good. Everything is tightened to the right torque. As the bearings are the interface between the BB and the cranks, does that mean the bearings are hosed?

Should have serviced more often :(
