Going retro

Ok so I have well and truely been bitten by the road bug. All thoughts of purchasing a new mountain bike have infact disappeared due to becoming massivly obsessed with the roadie after converting just a few weeks ago!
Now I've found myself looking at possible projects in the form of a vintage bike. The question is where do I find them?!
Does anyone know of a specific place that deals in vintage bikes? Or is it just a case of keeping your eyes out on ebay for something that fits the bill?
Oh, and how easy is it to get parts and stuff?

I was in your boat a few weeks ago. I found the forum on www.retrobike.co.uk very useful.
I ended up with a nice vinatge bargain thanks to these guys.0 -
For absolute bargains, head to your local municipal tip - perserverance may be rewarded with a great find under layers of crap paint. The days of cheap old bikes on e-bay has long since expired - particularly classic Italian frames. I got my Gios Aerodynamic for £100 a few years ago - the seller didn't know it's rarity and sold a more common Gios frame in worse condition for twice that last year!Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I have just acquired a R J Quinn 1984 hand built road bike with campag and shimano 600.
Intend to get it repainted and restore it0 -
I did notice that the price of some of the bikes on ebay were fairly steep. Alot of them being marketed as "fixie" projects. Damm those hipsters! I'll have a good search and let you know if i come up with anything.
Maybe there should be a thread for people to show off their retro rides?
Just a thought0
