Daft question, but I get stuck on this ALL the time, being used to cartridge bearings in headsets, I have forgotten the 'way up' the loose caged BBs
FSA PIG headset
Right, working up from Bottom to top (cups are in frame)
Crown race
Bearings (bearing side down, mating the race, and the ''flat' part of the cage into the cups
Cup
Top Cup
Bearing cage in, again as before, the bearings rolling on the upper race... and the 'flat' part in the cup
Is this correct?
Thanks

Tis on Park tools ;-)
But I would split the cages, and add more balls. Fill the cup up full and take two balls out. Your headset will last a lot longer and take more load.0 -

I looked and couldn't see from the images what were what lol
Yeah, I have head 'bout that method, really makes things better eh?0 -
It does. The cages can distort, and rust easily. More greasy balls is what you need!0

I honestly did look, I did I did...
That's how I had them anyhow, thought as much but just looked a bit odd (slight gap between top race and cup (about 1mm) - checked my other PIG headset and it was the same!
Thanks anyways!0
