Sun EQ 2.7SL ( max tyres )

im in need of some new tyres
im currently running minnions 2.5's but would like some 2.7's.
my rims are Sun EQ 2.7SL, whats the max tyre that can go on these ? will 2.7's be ok ?

i would be more concerned about if the fork and frame will take a 2.7 tyre.

then we come to the sizes

which 2.7 tyres are you looking at? as some are a different 2.7 to other 2.7s not that 2.7s are really needed on any bike.

And if this is for a Kona Coilair then you really need to check some other things.

Im running 2.6 on my Kona Stinky, i can fit 3.0 on the front but thats with 888rc forks. Any higher than a 2.6 on the rear and mud clearance will no longer exist and there would be no room for the tire to expand.

I doubt you will be able to fit 2.7

so 2.5 is the max i should use
what other things should i check ?

thing is all im doing is uplifts at moelfre and 2 local tracks in north wales, no pedaling up !
single ring up front with e13 device
so im thinking possibly new wheels too
