Stuck Seatpost

Hi,
Wondered if anyone had any advice on unsiezing a stuck seatpost. I think that it has become stuck as the frame is steel and the seatpost is aluminium. Have had the frame in a vice upside down with lube in the frame and had the grips on the seatpost but no movement. It's an oldish bike but a good one andwould just like to get it sorted. Would some heat to the frame ease it?
Any advice??

read the 12 ways to remove a stuck seat post on sheldon brown pages."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
