I've a new Orange ST4 and want to know if i need to tighten up the caps on the ends of the pivots and if so by how much? One of them was quite loose when I checked my bike after a ride.

Cheers

Take it out, dab of Loctite retainer and back in, tighten it up "enough" and away you go!

thanks for the reply.......but new to full sus and just blown more money than my wife can comprehend on a "bicycle" so not sure I want to bodge it :o

Just not sure if tightening them right up with an hex will hinder the movement of the whole bearing pivot assembly or if they should be left just tight enough so the cap doesn't work itself off.

E-mail Orange or give them a ring - very helpful blokes. If it's just a protective cap then there probably won't be a torquing figure. Hence the suggestion of using Loctite (don't use a threadlocker, just a retainer to fill the threads and prevent the thing from working loose).

If the cap actually holds the bearing/pivot in place then you will probably be given a specific figure.
