Hi All

I have somehow got a very slow puncture and can not locate it. Had it under water and nothing.

Could it be a slight leak from valve or something. Is this a normal thing and should i just replace the tube ??

Cheers

It's most likely the tiniest of holes that only shows up when pumped to high pressure ie on the bike, sounds like you've already spent a lot of time investigating this tube, ditch it and put a new one on you're wasting valuable riding time
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

Just buy a new tube mate! only cost a couple of quid not worth the bother.

Treat yourself and buy a new tube. Lifes too short.

I had thew same problem and I would also check a round the valve as mine was sharp and think it was one of the reasons I was getting them.

I know it's very wasteful but I always buy a new tube rather than mess about with punctures

    Ditto that.
I have nothing more to say on the matter.
  • I cut the valve off and sling them in the recycle bin with plastics ....

and hope that they are of some use ! :?

Happens from time to time - I usually ditch road tubes cos its so infrequently that I puncture.

With MTBs I get more so I will repair those.

I use old tubes to hang stuff up or to patch up punctures.

I use old tubes to make Gimp suits for my hamsters

I use old tubes to compare with new tubes to make sure they are new :)

In a quiet environment, you should easily be able to locate the hole if you put the innertube near your ear.
