Do you recommend this for better shifting or weight saving or ...?0 -
weight saving, they all shift exactly the same in my experience. but an xt cassette isnt a lot of money but will save a fair chunk of weight.
also, it makes the back wheel easier to move around on a ride.0 -
Get a SLX cassette, better quality, lighter and all round more spangly than the Deore one.
Hardly any heavier than the XT either.
I'd look into Stroker Trail brakes as well, some excellent bargains can be had.
One question, where the hell are you getting Rev 426 Air U-turns for that kinda money?0 -

It will weigh a little more than you think - add in cables and skewers for starters.
You can get cheaper and lighter bars/stem/seatpost than those if you want to save a bit of weight ie SMICA and Exotic (I got a 130g exotic stem for a tenner)0 -
dont forget rim tape."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I'd also go for the folding Mountain kings.0

id change to a charge spoon saddle too, much comfier than a speed v and it comes in white. id also pick a wide bar like a fun fat boy or similar0
