Whats the difference Fox Float RP2 XV & Fox Float RP23?

As I am not sure of components…. the RP2 on Trek Fuel EX8 and the second one on Trek Fuel EX9. What is the difference? I like the look of the EX8 bike (£1749.99) but its a bit more expensive than the EX9 (£1599). The last one of these bikes is a 2008 model.
Which is the better bike of the two? Or can anyone recommend the best buy bike for £1500-£1600 full suspension…..

    The RP23 has three different pro-pedal settings. The RP2 XV has a larger volume air canister and the pro-pedal is either on or off.

    I'd be seriously thinking of getting the '08 EX9 at those prices.
