While giving my bike a quick checkover today i noticed there was a spoke on the front wheel that was out of shape and had a kink in it about 6 inches from the rim.
Does anyone know what might have caused it and do i need to have it replaced with the exact same spoke or can any spoke as long as its the same diameter be used. Also i havent had the bike a month yet so would it be covered under warranty or is classed as a wear and tear part?

sounds like you caught it on something.

Pop back to the shop with it and they maysort it FOC.

But yes the spoke needs to be the same type and length.

  • to be honest i cant see a shop changing it, sounds to pe like it has cought something, unless you know how to build wheels i would get a shop to repair it as you could end up damaging the wheel
