8 Speed Shifters

I currently have shimano sora 8 speed shifters on my road bike and was wondering what would be the best replacement for them. it seems none of the other shimano shifters do 8 speed. also, does anyone know where to buy replacement hoods for the sora shifters as i wish to sell them and the current ones are worn. thanks

Have a look for second hand Tiagra or 105 9 speed shifters and fit a 9 speed cassette. Might as well have an improvement if spending on shifters
