Turbo Trainers & Big Helmets

Evening all,
Right as the title suggest i'm after a turbo trainer and a big helmet.
Will be willing to spend around £170 for trainer as i know i'll get the use out of it. Had a look around for reviews but they seem hard to come by. The 'elite crono' ones from wiggle have caught my eye and was wondering on the benfits of the different types of 'material' used for resistance!
Secondly, lets cut to the chase, i have a big bonce and whilst understanding the importances of a helmet i have tried several on over the past year or so and have only found one or two that look ok only for them to be uncomfortable or vice versa. Like i say i appreciate the importance of a helmet but i don't want to look like a complete knob at the same time (cue witty comment)!
