v brake hard tail frame to disc brake

is there any way to convert a v brake only hardtail frame to accept disc brake or have i no chance but to buy a frame that will accept disc brakes
falling off doesn't hurt....its the landing that hurts

    There are some adaptors such as the A2Z disc adaptors, but they do not fit all frames.

    i have an old merlin malt 1 frame i dont know the year . so how do they fit onto the frame

    yes it says the frame needs to be flat at the drop out fpr it to work . and my drop outs are flat but the chain stays and seat stays are round . it looks like a hit or miss with this .buy to try . i will try to upload a photo

    It attaches to the dropoiut so your stays really aren't that relevant unless they intrude into the dropout area used by the adaptor. How about finding a square on photo, adjusting zoom so a printout is real sized and trying it against your dropouts?

    Or you could get a local fabrication company to make you an adaptor, its not rockt science and the commercial ones are well over priced for what they actually are!

    Or you could get a frame builder to attach some mounts (extreme I know).

    That or disk front V rear of course!
