Seeking a guesstimate. If I supplied the new rear hub, what would you expect LBS to charge for fitting it and rebuilding the wheel?

Ta.
I may be a minority of one but that doesn't prevent me from being right.

Same price as a rear wheel build, but a bit extra if you expect them to take the old wheel apart - £20 upwards. Also depends on whether they are using the old spokes and would recommend that new nipples are used if using old spokes. Take the wheel apart yourself if you want to save some money.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Thanks Monty. Should've mentioned, rim and spokes are new. Cost me £100 about 4 months ago after a damaged rim. I asked LBS whether it was cheaper to rebuild or to have a new wheel and they said rebuild but used the old hub.

I'm pretty sure the freehub now needs replacing but the hub itself looks to be out of production or superceded so it's tricky finding the right replacement. So I wondered about getting a complete new and in-production hub.
