Gears Slipping

Hi All, Just been out on a bike ride with my mate, And when we got to any steep hills and he stood up and put pressure on the pedals the gears slipped but they were fine when he sat in saddle any ideas why.

Probably a worn chain and/or cassette.0

I agree with joe - happened to me a few times and it's usually been the chain.0
