Fitting a new chain?

Ok I've just bought a new chain

Is it just a simple case of taking off the old one with a chain tool and putting the new one on in the same way with a chain tool or do I need to do anything special???

yes. you will need to size the chain.

It's a KMC chain. It also comes with 2 link type things (not sure what they're called) . on one side it has the hole and the other side like a pin that woulld supposedly go in the hole.
