Small bit of a problem here...
I have to remove a chainset from an old '95 bike.
It's a Square taper type.
I removed crank bolts, threaded the crank extractor in and tightened up with a small spanner (but not too tight if you catch my drift)
Then I got the allen key and started to 'TRY' to turn it clockwise to extract the crankarm.
Im not a small bloke and quite strong but the bugger just will not budge!!!!!
Any tips or is it LBS time.
Or a bit of LPusGas overnight?
I don't really want to damage the cranks as they need to go to someone else.. EEEK!

Lol. I think you would need Arnie for this, I need some headset cups removed prior to the frame being painted, think I'll just get the cranks/BB removed by LBS.....
Oh PS: can you send me that link for the ST BB again (£14 I think) - TA0 -
It was at Parkers I think! UN54.0

That's the one geez.....
Good price too!!!!
Thought I'd update the BB as well as the chainset!!0 -
if it is not moving a sharp tap with a hammer on the crank base works.
so crank arm down and then just hit the crank boss while the puller has pressure on it.
Just like with the old Mini fly wheels."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
