twisted chain?

realised tonight that i managed to twist my chain and its now attempting to dislodge itself! its an ultegra chain that hasnt done more than 1000 miles and its well looked after, how did i do this? How can i avoid it in tne future? Its only the one link affected so is it faulty maybe? Thanks

chain suck? I'm still riding a bent 9 speed chain, keep it well lubed and it doesn't bother me, when the indexing starts to go awry it'll be the chink of the bent bit trying to engage another cassette that goes first.
