Demo'd Orange 5 pro a couple of weeks ago, wow! consumes the trail ! can get away with so much on this bike. Not the most eye catching, when its covered with earth and dirt they all look the same. Didnt buy as its a 1k over my budget.
Lapierre get such a good name and have some fetching features, many people on here support them all the way. Seem like a safe bet.Enduro- YT Capra AL1- 2016
Road- Boardman Team Carbon- 2010
XC- Gary Fisher Marlin- 20020 -
For a long travel, but light trail bike I would take a look at the Scott Genius range. The 20 is in your price range, the 30 just outside, but has the stunning sub 5lb frame.0
