hey guys,I'm having a nightmare trying to set my e13 ls1 up with my saints.and i don't want to take it to a shop as i want to learn to do it my self.

so my problem is rube.i fitted my ls1 and had to use the iscg addapter plate to mount it on my BB.and i fitted it with one 2.5mm spacer and the Granny ring bolts rubbed on the back plate.so i then fitted anther 2.5mm spacer and it was fine.(i now had 5mm of spacing on the drive side and a 2.5mm on the non drive side) is this OK?
so i then fitted my cranks back on the bike and they ran fine(i dint have the chain device plastics on at that time)

then when i fitted the plastics back on they would not fit in straight as there was to much of a gap from the back plate to the plastic.so to solve this on the bottom on i used 2 small washers that came in the set and got the chain line perfect on there.but on the top one if you space it out so it fits over the chain ring it rubs loads on the crank arm.rubs so much you cant even pedal a full turn.

i don't really want to cut away any of the guide so any help would be good.

i can also get pics if needed

cheers rick.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I seem to recall from somewhere that the new Saint cranks were not compatible with the ls1

My advice would be to give e13 a call mate.......

This is not defo though, although I seem to recall this being covered recently.

I had trouble setting up my new saint crank with my DRS... got there in the end though!
