Just started to really up the mileage and have been caught out in a few heavy downpoors.
Whilst I'm waterproof I would like something small and lightweight I could stuff in the jersey pocket as soaking to the absolute skin not really welcome.
I dont want to spend a fortune so therefore accept a certain amount of boil in the bag characteristics as a result. however, what I am struggling with is knowing what to go for due to size when packed.
no websites seem to give you packed size so you cant tell if it'll go small or if you willt end up looking like you've got a hunch back!
any recommendations from people who've got stuff that's small. As I said, happy to sacrice breatability smallness. also don't want to spend a fortune - say 40 quid max but hopefully cheaper
Cheers

Lightweight, compact and waterproof tend not to go together. You can have the first 2 at the expense of the last one. You can get them all but it costs. I use this one. It keeps most rain off and is fairly breathable. Like all of them, you still sweat in it.

Montane Velo featherlite - the windproof is more or less waterproof, not too seaty and packs up tiny with a neat little bag to hang on your stem - Chain Reaction were doing them really cheap0

Fits into a bag roughly the size of your fist. Not too heavy. Keeps the water out nicely.Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.0
