New Bike - buy now or later?

Thinking of getting a new bike (possibly a Trek 1.9 c£1100) but a couple of things are holding me back: -
1) My employer has not yet introduced the cycle to work scheme
2) Would prefer to see the 2010 range (due out soon?)
Think there might be some advantages in buying now: -
1) Still a few weeks left in 2009 to use my new bike
2) Have heard that the 2010 bikes are likely to be much more expensive - so if I wait for my employer to introduce the cycle to work scheme I may have to fork out a lot more for a similarly specced 2010 bike - hence might be better just to buy now!
Grateful for any thoughts on the above
Cheers

Circa 30% savings on the cyclesheme.
The mad rush to buy in the "summer" is crazy.
July and August are the worst months for rain. September and October are dry and cool - much better cycling weather.
The 2010 treks are £50 up on last years pricesFCN 8 Hybrid

Thanks for advice - cycle scheme has obviously good savings attached to it - thought that the increase in 2010 prices would scupper my plan to wait for my employer to introduce the scheme. But if the price increase is only likely to be "£50" for a Trek 1.9 might just hold on .....0

Unless your company has a consumer credit licence (?) you're going to be restricted to £1,000 on the cycle to work scheme. Inland Revenue rules or something.0

Know how you feel.
My employer (Mercedes-Benz) will only offer the scheme once a year (April, rolling year) and I'm not waiting that long! Plus they try to fob you off with a Mercedes Bike....err...no ta.
I looked at the Trek 1.9 too. Nice wheels and better than the 1.7 IMO...but a lot of money for an alloy framed bike that weighs in at a hefty 19.5lbs. The Boardman Comp weights the same at £650. The Felt F75 (£899.99-£949.99) might be a better prospect (albeit not so great looking I admit) for you. Or even the Focus Culebro or Cayo models.
P.s Scott have their very competent CR1 Comp at £1099 at the mo across Evans and other shops. 18.22lbs and very upgradable if you wish to do that.0
