£400+ Budget Help Please

Hi I've just joine the forums basically because I'm buying a bike through the bike to work scheme using the cyclescheme network of stores (not Halfords). I've shortened the list to the Giant Talon 2.5 / 3.0 or the Specialized Hardrock Pro Disc / 2010 Comp Disc depending how much extra I put on top of the £400 voucher I have.

Does anyone have any views on the choice or perhaps any other suggestions to offer.
