I'm keen mountain biker and thinking about getting a road bike. I've been considering bikes in the £500 - £750 price range but I'm not sure when to buy....
I'm finishing with my current employer soon and am hoping my next job will have a C2W scheme because most do, but it's likely I'd be waiting until later in the year once I'm through probation, etc. so will be in to the realms of 2010 models before I get a bike. The other possibility is I buy one now and don't bother with C2W, my question is that with the economic downtown and rubbish exchange rates is it likely that most 2010 models will suffer from component downgrades and maybe even increased prices? Put simply will I get more bang for my buck with an '09 model?
