Fox Van R Sizing

Im in the process of buying a new fox van r rear shock however it does not come with a spring and i was wondering the exact sizings i needed. The eye - to - eye of the shock is 8.5" and the stroke is 2.5" however i cannot seem to find a regular spring for sale which has a stroke that small. i was wondering what internal size spring size is? If it needs a Nuke proof 'oversize' rather than regular?
Cheers guys

as long as the spring is the right length and is for an equal or greater stroke as the shock you will be fine.
and the Van springs are different ID to the DHXs"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

yea im aware the stroke needs to be the same or more.
Also i had a feeling they were a different ID but i cannot find the exact size anywhere.
How would i exactly measure it? Do i simply measure the centeral inside gap?
If it is only a regular size then noone seems to offer the correct stroke length. nukeproof and stendec only offer up to 2.25" on the normal size and i need 2.5" or more.

Ok if you look at the adjusting collar of the split retainer you will see that they have a inner ridge that fits inside the coil.
that is what you need to measure. the spring can be a little smaller as it will press in. but too big is bad as it will move.
Sorry cant give any more info."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cheers nick thats the one!
The ridge measures at about 32mm so i assume this means that it needs a regular 31.5mm ID spring such as this?

Soo where do i get the correct spring to fit my 2.5" stroke when all that seems to be availible is up to 2.25"?
I could be stuffed or have just got it all wrong.
