I'm looking at buying my first road bike now.
I'm interested in a carrera valour in medium, trouble is that I cannot find out what size is defined by medium.
Can anyone help with a proper inch/mm measurement,thanks....

Try going and actually sitting on the bike and seeing how it feels. I'm 6 foot and I needed a Large which fits well, I've had a quick look on Halfords.com and they've got a sizing table which I'm sure must be broken in to S,M,L - take a look size chart
good luck1993 - Ridgeback 301 G3
1995 - Ridgeback 601 GS
1997 - Specialized Hardrock
2003 - Specialized FSR XC
2008 - Specialized Epic FSR Comp
2009 - Giant Defy 3
2010 - Voodoo Wanga
2012 - Cannondale Supersix 1050 -
The halfords size chart seems pretty meaningless.
The large frame, has a frame size of 52cm- this is the seat tube length measured from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of seat tube. The bike has a sloping top tube however and is suitable for people up to about 6'2".
Don't know the frame size on the medium but would guess it is not really suitable for anyone taller than 5'09"-unless you intend to ride around with your saddle way to low like many less well-informed people seem to do.
You don't say how tall you are.0
