Thought when out riding ( currently cycling around 130 miles a week on open country roads )
How do I get home if i feel unwell / mechanical breakdown ?? when members of the immediate family do not drive
Is anyone aware of an organisation that could help ?????
(I do not think the AA / RAC offer this service in their breakdown cover)

Pretty sure CTC do this, for a annual fee.0

I've got bike insurance with E&L and they include a get you home service, or at least get you to nearest train station. Same with CTC.
It would help to have the phone number for either of them with me when I go out0 -

I think its free if you take out their Insurance too. Found them on http://www.bikeforall.net/index.php
Im not with them I just did a search and they came up.0 -
Learn some basic maintanence. With a bit of knowledge there is very little that will prevent you from getting home slowly, keeping your bike in good knick also helps a lot.
As for the feeling unwell aspect, you need to learn to read your body, so you just don't go out if you're not going to make it, as well as carrying adequate water and emergency rations.
If something bad does happen, you should be able to phone a taxi.0 -
Take local taxi numbers & if you need to call them, make them aware that it's you + bike. Most taxi ranks have drivers with either estate cars, black cabs or similar amongst their drivers. 8)Cycling weakly0
