Ground Effect jerseys

Morning all,

I'm looking for a short sleeve jersey and have heard good things aboutthe Ground Effect stuff. Specifically, I'm looking at the Median Strip http://www.groundeffect.co.nz/product-detail-MED-MER.htm. Has anyone had any experience of thier kit ?

I've got a couple pairs of their lycra shorts and their Two Timer jacket and can only find good things to say about them - good value and excellent quality.

I've got 3 Ground Effect tops (not that one though, but I have been tempted) and they're all very good indeed- definitely recommended, and they show up surprisingly quickly too!

Probably the best top I ever bought (in terms of quality and versatility for its intended use) is their Frosty Boy.
Second is an Adidas Techfit under layer.

wonderful, wonderful kit. I have the Draft Dodger, Frosty Boy, Baked Alaska, Median Strip and Ristretto. All phenomenal tops, good price, wouldn't be without them.

Just taken delivery of one of their summer riding jerseys.
Really pleased with the quality, look and the price.
Service was excellent too.
Would happily reccomend Ground Effect and would expect to buy other stuff from them in the future.

I like the kit but the one issue I've had with them is the sizing - its all quite large and baggy (for me, anyway).

For the same value in Kiwi stuff, try out www.nzoactive.co.nz. Very nice kit - their merino kit is significantly better than the groundeffect kit I've seen.

Have two long sleeved ground effect tops. material doesn't hug your body tightly which personally I find good. Very good temperature control. Commute 17 miles each way early in the morning can be nippy and then home in the heat sometimes and have found comfortable temperature both ways with their berglar top. rear pockets wouldn't hold much weight without sagging considerably.

Lovely stuff: nice retro styling too. I wore my Median strip on the Kona Colville Connection (72km ride around the Coromandel coastline in NZ) this year: drizzle then rain for many hours :-( However with this and a long sleeve windproof top I was fine. Sizing is generous, but the material is lovely. Only potential downside is that the pockets are a bit saggy if you overload them.
